As has become the norm on the blog, i’m late, or certainly extremely tardy. Part of my latest effort at going AWOL has been lack of photos to show. Our 5 or 6 year old digital camera finally broke and we finally decided to purchase a new camera over the last week. That allows me to insert a few wonderful pictures from the last 2 weeks. I’ll try and describe a bit after the pictures, but first my crazy loony daughter.
If you’re looking at the pictures where it appears my daughters is being taken over by a 5 ft moose, you would be correct. Jess decided to call me on V-day and ask me to run by costco and pick up this huge stud. I can’t say i was extremely excited about the possibility, but here it is in its full glory. Some great time were had over a short 5 minutes stretch. Payton went from full excitement, love, to boss(telling it to stay upright), then got frustrated it wouldn’t listen to her and began crying. What a nice time traveling down the emotional roller coaster of a 2 yr old.
We continue to realize how fast things go as parents. You look around and she says various things you say(some of the times things she reallly shouldn’t repeat), and she is really just becoming a little person. We’ve really moved well out of toddler range and really fully into little girl phase. We could easily see this transpiring with her wanting to do everything on her own, including confiscating my iPhone. She runs it better than most grown adults. Scary that a 2 yr old can move around, pick the games she wants, hang up on my friends by saying things like “no like bonez” and slide the bar to hang up on him. Whoops. Wonderful kids.
It’s been a very mild winter so far. We have laid pretty low. Lots of work, a little fun here and there and all of us getting a bit of cabin fever waiting for march/april and some good weather. We can’t wait. We don’t have a whole lot of major plans for the upcoming year. Yup, we’re that boring. We’re hoping to have some good news on a new little kid sometime in the next year. It’s certainly on the radar right now, and we’re just waiting for all the timing to match up.
Now that the camera is back, I will certainly try and keep my 1 post per 2 months avg going, possibly even dream to try once a month or more!!!! Maybe I could even get into some things not so much family oriented, but that may disinterest my 3 readers
Here is a video of payton getting her V-day present. Wonderful 2′s…………………………….
